We currently maintain two roster levels: Active Responders and Reserve Responders.
Those members who have met the minimum training requirements, have employer approval, and are capable of/interested in deploying outside of the local area for at least 72 hours.
· Maintain an up-to-date NC-TERMS Profile
· Complete the SMAT Initial Training Program (required for deployment)
· Complete the FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 courses
· Provide 24 hours of participation a year (meetings, training, work sessions, events, deployments, etc)
· Actively respond to team communications.
Those members who are interested in participating in local events or activities, but are not interested in or capable of deploying on longer missions outside the local area. These members minimum training requirements that are less then Active Members.
· Maintain an up-to-date NC-TERMS Profile
· Complete the FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 courses
· Provide 12 hours of participation a year (meetings, training, work sessions, events, deployments, etc)
· Actively respond to team communications.
· Completion of the SMAT Initial Training Program is recommended but not required.

· Nurses
· Paramedics
· EMTs
· Nurse Assistants
· Social Workers
· Mental Health Professionals
· Administrative Assistants
· IT and Communications specialists
· Translators
· Environmental Services
· Drivers with CDL’s and experience
· HVAC mechanics
· Electricians
· Plumbers
· Basically anyone who has a desire to participate, and the time to train.
To join the Southeastern SMAT team, you will need to first register in the North Carolina Training - Exercise - Response Management System (NC-TERMS).
